Description
Mentha x piperita is a rapidly spreading plant with oval mint-green strongly scented leaves. Mint grows best in moist and partially sunny places. Small violet-coloured flowers appear during flowering.
The Purasana peppermint originates from India and its essential oil is extracted from the flowering tops via steam distillation.
The Mentha x piperita has a fresh minty scent. This essential oil has a purifying effect on the respiratory tract and works to relieve migraines.
You can diffuse this oil or apply a few drops to a handkerchief. Mint oil has a cooling effect so it is not recommended to mix it with bath oil due to cold shock effect.
Ingesting one drop of Peppermint oil on a sugar or 1 teaspoon of honey is good against bad breath, aids digestion and relieves bloating after meals.
