Aronia, Dutch name chokeberry, is a shrub from the rose family found throughout Europe.
What are aronia berries good for?
Aronia berries are a source of polyphenols, a group of natural antioxidants, which help curb harmful influences in the body. For this reason, aronia berries have a high ORAC value. In addition, aronia berries are rich in fibre that contribute to healthy digestion.
After harvesting, the aronia berries are freeze-dried, preserving optimum flavour and nutrients.
How much aronia per day?
Add 5 g of aronia powder to soy or rice drinks for a shake packed with antioxidants. Use aronia powder to infuse smoothies, juices, muesli, granola or yoghurt for an attractive purple colour and slightly acidic flavour. Suitable for daily use!
