Description

Activated charcoal is a type of carbon that binds to and cleans up harmful substances, such as intestinal gases.

What does activated charcoal do in the body?

Activated charcoal contributes to reduction of excessive flatulence after eating.

Use charcoal capsules

Take 1 g at least 30 minutes before and 1 g shortly after a meal that causes gas, such as lentils and beans. Use up to 2 x 6 capsules a day along with a large glass of water.

Quality

Purasana uses quality ingredients in an optimal composition for its capsules. Furthermore, the capsules consist of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), a material derived from the cell walls of plants.

Cellulose capsules protect the ingredients from heat and moisture, and guarantee an optimal and even release of the contents. Compared to capsules made from gelatine, for example, cellulose is more stable and dissolves faster in the stomach, which facilitates the absorption of the ingredients.

We test each batch of this product to ensure it does not contain heavy metals, pesticides, or harmful microorganisms. Purasana and its suppliers carefully ensure that they sell only pure, high-quality products, with the approval of the Belgian Food Agency and by the IFS standards. You can also recognize the quality of Purasana's products by the organic and vegan labels on the packaging.

In conclusion, the health claims we make about this product have been assessed as scientifically proven by the European Union (EFSA, European Food Safety Authorities).

Faq

What is the difference between charcoal and activated carbon?

Active carbon is carbon that has been processed through a thermal process. During this process, gases and impurities are removed from the carbon. Activated charcoal is therefore not the same as the charcoal you use to heat up your barbecue.
