Yerba maté is a South American plant whose leaves produce a caffeine-rich drink called maté. Maté is traditionally drunk in a cup made from pumpkin (gourd) through a special straw (bombilla) that filters out leftover leaves.

How does yerba maté taste?
Yerba maté tea powder has a unique, bittersweet flavour that is best when served hot, but maté can just as easily be drunk cold.
Add 5 g of yerba maté powder to 200 ml of soy or rice drink for a shake, or 2 g to 70-100 ml of near-hot water for a fortifying tea.
