Psyllium: Discover 3 fantastic benefits

More than fibers – natural support for a healthy lifestyle

Reading time: 2 minutes

Psyllium fibers are an easy way to enrich your diet with plant-based fibers. Discover three powerful benefits: support for regular digestion, promotion of satiety, and assistance in maintaining a balanced diet. Naturally, pure, and easy to add to your daily meals.

Discover 3 fantastic benefits

  • Stimulates bowel function and bowel movement
  • The ideal way to increase fiber intake
  • Works well as a substitute for gluten

A healthy gut function is essential for optimal health and to prevent issues such as constipation. Psyllium fibers support gut function, protect the intestinal wall, and help prevent both constipation and diarrhea. If you feel bloated, constipated, or are experiencing the opposite, take some psyllium powder to relieve your stomach.

Additionally, psyllium is the ideal way to increase fiber intake. Adding 1 to 2 teaspoons per day can help provide a quick and efficient solution for fiber deficiencies in our diet. Especially for those following a low-carbohydrate diet, it is important to monitor daily fiber intake.

*Tip: psyllium works well as a gluten substitute for baking.
Use about two tablespoons of psyllium for 250 grams of flour. This adds strength and volume to bread.

Use

The average recommended dosage for psyllium fibers is 5 g in 200 ml of water or smoothie before meals. You can take a dosage twice a day.

  • Mix all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir well. Mix maple syrup, oil, and water together in a measuring cup. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix well until the dough is fully soaked and thickens. Spoon the dough into a greased cake pan. Let it set for at least 2 hours. The dough is ready when the bread holds its shape (even outside the pan).
  • Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
  • Place the cake pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the bread from the pan and place it upside down directly on the rack. Bake for another 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
