With Megaflora, Energy contains 9 bacterial strains that naturally occur in the intestine. These living bacteria are encapsulated in a matrix that protects the bacteria from external influences.

Thanks to this encapsulation, 90% of these bacteria survive through digestion. This chance of survival is expressed in the unit CFU/g, which stands for "colony-forming units per gram".

Quality is more important than quantity, because what good are a lot of dead bacteria that cannot produce lactic acid? Lactic acid helps you digest your food and contributes to a healthy intestine.

Digestive enzymes

ZyMate® Max provides 10 plant enzymes, including bromelain and lactase, which the body uses to digest lactose, carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Proper functioning of the digestive enzymes contributes to healthy digestion. Fiber for healthy digestion

ZyMate® Max: Role of Enzymes

ZyMate® Max contains ten enzymes that break down substances from food so that they are small enough to pass through the intestinal wall and then via the blood to the cells. The higher the values of these enzymes, the better they are at breaking down the substances.

Alpha-amylase breaks down starch and glycogen into maltose and glucose. Activity measured in DU (Dextrinizing Units).

Gluco-amylase breaks down starch and maltodextrin into glucose. Activity measured in AGU (Amyloglucosidase Units).

Alpha-galactosidase breaks down complex carbohydrates, such as those found in legumes, into glucose and galactose. Activity measured in GAL (Galactosidase Units).

Lactase breaks down lactose, the sugar in milk, into glucose and galactose. Activity measured in ALU (Lactase Units).

Protease breaks down proteins into amino acids. Neutral protease works best at a pH of around 7 (e.g. in the small intestine) and is expressed in HUT (Hemoglobin Unit Tyrosine base). Acid protease works best in an acidic environment (e.g. in the stomach) and is expressed in SAPU (Spectrophotometric Acid Protease Units).

Bromelain and papain break down proteins into amino acids and peptides. Activity measured in PU (Gelatin Digesting Units).

Lipase breaks down fats, oils and triglycerides into fatty acids and monoglycerides. Activity measured in FIP (Fédération Internationale Pharmaceutique).

Cellulase breaks down cellulose (fibres) into short-chain fatty acids. Activity measured in CU (Cellulase Units).

Megaflora 9 Evo: role of the matrix

The Megaflora 9 Evo powder is in a matrix that helps the living bacteria survive all the way to the intestines. This technology is called ProbioAct®, and consists of starch, inulin and the enzyme amylase. The matrix helps to protect the bacterial strains from environmental factors such as temperature changes, moisture and exposure to oxygen. In addition, the matrix is a food source for the bacteria, allowing them to optimally colonize the intestines and produce active substances such as lactic acid.

Usage

Energy comes in a 140g package containing 20 servings. Add 7g of powder to 250ml of water or yoghurt before use. Stir and the product is ready to use. Suitable for daily use in the morning or afternoon. Ideal as a 20-day cure!

Lumps or lumps in your drink? Stir well and let it rest for a while, or use a shaker to obtain an even structure. Sediment on the bottom is completely normal; this is the fibres from the mix that are starting to bind to the water. After 10-15 minutes, the drink will therefore have a thicker gel texture.
