Description
Acai powder comes from acai berries that grow in large clusters on the pinapalm (Euterpe oleracea) found on the shores of the Amazon region in Brazil.
Acai berries are rich in nutrients that are preserved thanks to a special freeze-drying process. In this way, 20 kg of berries corresponds to 1 kg of acai powder.
Is acai healthy?
The acai berry is considered one of the most healthy fruits in the world, making it truly worthy of the term 'superfood'.
Acai berries are packed with vitamin A, potassium, calcium and iron which are retained thanks to freeze-drying. When the berries are ripe, they are picked, pulverised and freeze-dried into acai powder.
A scientific analysis of Purasana's acai powder also shows a high ORAC value indicating the amount of antioxidants.
How much acai powder per day?
Mix 5g of powder in 300ml of liquid to enjoy its benefits daily. Acai Berry Powder can also be used in a acai bowl, yoghurt, salads and even for making acai ice cream. The acai berry has an earthy berry flavour that you can go either way.

What is lyophilisation and what are the benefits?
Freeze-drying is a preservation method that removes water from fresh ingredients by first freezing them and then drying them under low pressure. This technique preserves the nutrients, colour and flavour of acai powder better than traditional drying methods.
