These golden milk glasses taste just as delicious as they look, are really good for you, and are surprisingly quick to make.
It is an ideal breakfast that you can just take out of the fridge in the morning. I always make a large quantity so that I can enjoy it for a few days. But to be honest, they work just as well as dessert, because how festive do these glasses look?!
The base consists of oatmeal with coconut milk, fragrant turmeric, and a pinch of ginger. You top that golden base with creamy yogurt and finish it off with a dusting of aromatic cinnamon powder.
• 100 g oatmeal
• 1 tsp Purasana Turmeric
• Ginger powder
• 300 ml coconut milk
• 1 tbsp Purasana Chia Seeds
• 3 tbsp Greek or coconut yogurt + extra, for serving
• possibly 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
• cinnamon, for serving
Mix the oatmeal, spices, milk, chia seeds, and yogurt in a bowl. Also add a pinch of salt and stir well. Use some maple syrup if you like it sweet. Let it sit covered in the fridge for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight. Add extra milk if needed.
Divide the golden oatmeal the next morning into glasses or bowls and scoop the yogurt on top. Dust with cinnamon.
